I am Amal G Jose, an Electrical Engineer by qualification, currently I am working as a Software Engineer. Before starting my career as a software engineer, I was unaware of this field. After a few months, I found some interesting areas in software field. Because of God’s grace, I got an opportunity to work in the latest technologies in this field like BigData Solutions, hadoop, hive, pig, hadoop cluster etc. I started my carrer as a hadoop administrator. That was a nice experience and got a lot of knowledge. After that I started working in development projects also. I got good exposure in administration & development fields and I am tuning myself to this industry. I am here to share my learning, so that it may help someone like me who is new to this field.

i am working as unix admin ,i would like to learn hdaoop , as unix admin which hdaoop technology suites for me , i am confusing about all HDFS ,MAPreduce and pig , give etc .. it seems only HDFS only related to unix admin

Hadoop administration will be the best suit for you. Because it needs good unix knowledge. Slowly you can become the admin of all the BigData technologies.
Read the hdfs-mapreduce concepts, set up a small hadoop cluster with all hadRead the hdfs-mapreduce concepts and set up a small hadoop cluster with all hadoop ecosystem components. Then your confusions will come to an end. Not hdfs, everything in this industry is related to a unix admin. Because without an admin, no cluster will be created. An admin have good role in all part of this industry.
