I have faced an error recently while doing repair (nodetool repair) on the Cassandra cluster nodes. This issue can be fixed by doing one of the following steps.

Restart the Cassandra server that is showing this error message.

systemctl restart cassandra

Another options is to run the following command.

nodetool scrub
